Alex Ide
EVP, Global Lead Life Science
Alex Ide, Executive Vice President (EVP), is the global lead for Life Science offerings. In his previous role at BC Platforms, he led the UK sales, driving the development and implementation of the company’s commercial strategy and growth in the UK. Alex is a healthcare executive with 20 years of experience in tech start-ups, large multinationals, and private partnerships. He has operated in functional leadership and business development roles across the scientific and commercial spectrums with global, regional, and national level clients at pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies. Prior to BC Platforms, Alex worked at Prospection, IQVIA, and ZS.
Alex holds an MChem Chemistry degree from The Queen’s College, University of Oxford.
Melissa Myland
Sales Director
Melissa Myland is an experienced business development and research consultant in the life sciences sector, focused on partnering with clients to use real-world and technology solutions to drive value and advancement. Currently, she serves as Sales Director at BC Platforms. With over ten years of experience, she has expertise in study design, project management, evidence planning, consulting, and commercial strategy. Previously, she held senior roles at Oracle and IQVIA, emphasizing client partnerships and strategic development for a variety of real world solutions across Europe.
Melissa holds an MBA from Imperial College Business School, an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Edinburgh, and a B.Sc. in Life Sciences from Queen's University.
