Mikaela Bruhammar
Interim CEO
Mikaela has 20 years of experience in major global life-science companies, holding various strategic commercial and senior management positions in the Nordic region and globally. She worked at MSD Sweden AB (1999-2008), AstraZeneca Sweden and Nordic-Baltic (2008-2012), and was the Global Head of AstraZeneca’s Vaccine Franchise (2012-2015) and Vice President of the Nordic-Baltic Business Unit in RIA (2015-2019). In August 2019, she joined IQVIA, leading the EMEA Practice for Real World Data and Evidence solutions. She served as a board member at BC Platforms (2021-August 2023) and currently serves on the board of Ziccum AB. Mikaela holds an MSc in Molecular Biology from Linköping University, Sweden.
Kaj Työppönen
CFO
Kaj is the CFO of BC Platforms, overseeing finance, investor relations, strategy, and development. Previously, he founded a strategy consultancy and served as a board member and strategy advisor for a professional services firm. With over 15 years of experience as an executive and strategy consultant at PwC and EY, he has focused on professional services, technology, fast-growth companies, and healthcare. He has also worked at the World Economic Forum and managed a major growth finance program in Northern Europe. Kaj holds an M.Sc. from the University of Helsinki in Economics and Management.
Weston Fox
EVP, Commercial, Life Science
Weston is a healthcare executive with extensive experience across many different aspects of the industry, including the University of Virginia (Healthcare Executive in Residence), TARGET PharmaSolutions, Novartis, and IQVIA. He has held senior management positions in business development, corporate development, strategy, and operations with a general focus on the application of data and analytics to enhance the capabilities of healthcare and life science companies. Weston also previously worked at Carousel Capital and The Boston Consulting Group.
Weston received his MBA from the University of North Carolina and his B.A. from the University of Virginia where he was a Jefferson Scholar.
Alexandre Blanchot
Director, Business Development
At BC Platforms, Alexandre promotes European Real World Data across diseases and advances the company's multi-modal value proposition to optimize clinical development.
Alexandre has experience in drug development from discovery to commercialization, working with Gustave Roussy, AstraZeneca, and Genzyme on rare diseases. In Boston, he supported Life Sciences companies at Business France and the Innovation Centre of Denmark, focusing on public/private collaborations.
He holds a Pharm D. from the University of Paris, an MBA in biotechnologies management from the Business School of Grenoble, and a certification in Business English Speaking from Boston University.
